Lawrence A. Peshkin and E.J. Kotalik, Jr. are former directors (partners) of Fennemore Craig, the oldest and one of the largest law firms in Arizona. At Fennemore Craig, Mr. Peshkin and Mr. Kotalik supervised most of the firm’s insurance related litigation. They formed Peshkin & Kotalik in January of 1993 to continue representing their insurance clients at more economical hourly rates. Since its inception, Peshkin & Kotalik has been recognized by Martindale Hubbell as an AV®-rated law firm, establishing it as one of the best law firms in terms of legal ability and ethics. U.S. News & World Report also has included Peshkin & Kotalik in its list of the “Best Law Firms” every year since 2011. In addition, Chambers USA has included Peshkin & Kotalik repeatedly as one of the "Leading Law Firms in the USA." Peshkin & Kotalik also is listed in the 15th edition of Best Law Firms in the United States for 2025. Mr. Peshkin retired from practicing law in December of 2021. He is no longer associated with the firm.
